I purchased this unit because the price was good and it looked nice. That was a mistake. The overall quality of the Executive desk portion of the unit was OK. It was made from medium density OSB. The rest of the desk was bad news. Almost all corners where the finish met showed small chipping and the OSB was clearly visible along the edge. You will have to hade this with a magic marker.
The fun really came when assembling the drawers. These are unacceptable to the point of defective. The order of assembly in the instructions is wrong. If you follow it, you will have to disassemble the rails from the drawers in order to get the screws into the side to assemble the drawer frame. Further, the pre-drilled holes for the drawer assembly do not line up. Also, the holes that are drilled in the side are set off center from the adjoining end pieces. This means that you either have to assemble it out of alignment or assemble it in alignment which causes the drawer ends to split on many of the drawer assemblies. If you do buy this, be prepared to have several people on hand, drill bits, long clamps and a square. There are no alignment grooves or tabs as found on other furniture and I can assure you that you WILL either split some drawer pieces, assemble them out of line or out of square.
Overall, the engineering on this desk is poor and the workmanship is extremely substandard. On a positive note, if you do ever get it together, if feels solid and, despite the poor quality, the drawer slide hardware is top notch. This, however, doesn't fix the troubles. I would recommend the Sauders VIA line instead. It is slightly more expensive, but worth every penny.
